What is just – and what is right? What rights and obligations do people with disabilities have in legal proceedings? Freely adapted from Dante’s ”The Divine Comedy”, the visually stunning “Justices” combines humour, song, theatre and interactive performance – and invites the audience to question their own prejudices.

As a person with trisomy 21, Vincent refuses to be regarded as mentally incompetent and demands the right to be judged like any other citizen. The audience accompanies him on his journey of self-discovery and in his daily confrontations with the rules of an ableist society – whether it’s finding a flat, getting a credit card or having a child.

The trio on stage forges its own path, as does the audience, who are invited to have their say during the performance and to confront their own prejudices. An extraordinary, enriching experience.

The Théâtre National Wallonie-Bruxelles is a leading Belgian institution committed to inclusion, diversity and artistic innovation. Actor, director and writer Clément Papachristou has been associated with the theatre since 2022 and specialises in developing inclusive productions that bring together artists with and without disabilities.

In his artistic projects, he collaborates with his brother Guillaume, amongst others, and develops inclusive forms of collaboration between artists with different experiences and perspectives.
