In an unstable world, love transcends romance; it is resistance, empathy, and political strength. This performance by ABA NAIA and Occupy Houseclub, supported by Anna Koddenbrock, explores intimacy, desire, and coexistence in a hyper-connected society, turning vulnerability into collective imagination.
What does it mean to talk about love in an unstable world? What happens before love, what are the traces that shape us and our relationships? Love not just as romance, but as a strength that insists on connection despite political unrest. To love is to embody empathy, to dream of a better world. To remain resilient to what overwhelms us. It’s recognizing that we belong to a world we did not choose, one we create together.
Faced with these shared circumstances, we create an altar of love, gestures, rituals, confessions, and we dance our pain and euphoria away. We look for our strength and our weaknesses and ask ourselves, how to be yourself, being vulnerable, being loved? Love becomes a practice of resistance, intimacy and imagination.
Created by ABA NAIA Performing Arts Collective and the young team of the Occupy Houseclub supported by Anna Koddenbrock, this performance explores how love works in our hyper-connected society, inviting the audience into a reflection on love, desire and coexistence.
