In a world marked by war, loss and upheaval, how can we dream, resist and take action together? “Love Is a Verb #2 – We, the Heartbroken” takes Gargi Bhattacharyya’s eponymous essay as its starting point. She describes heartbreak not merely as a consequence of loss, but as an awareness of what is broken in the world. When individual pain becomes shared pain, our sense of connection also comes into focus. Perhaps it is precisely here that we find the possibility to resist together and to imagine a different world. The project’s feature installation is the “Vessel of Love” in HAU1 – a space for encounter, exchange and, possibly, transformation.
