Passagen Gespräche

  • Dialogue

Peter Engelmann, founder of Passagen Verlag, and philosopher Jean-Luc Nancy discuss the conditions for the possibility of a radical democracy. The focus will be the category of community, which the French thinker attempts to conceive without recourse to any metaphysical explanatory paradigm. He also distinguishes the term from the administrative regimes of capitalism, which only appear to be democratic. His reflections lead him to an intense examination of questions of art and aesthetics.

Presented by HAU Hebbel am Ufer and Passagen Verlag. In collaboration with Embassy of France in Berlin and Institut français Germany.
