The Austrian Anja Plaschg, known as Soap&Skin, is one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary European music. As a musician, composer and producer, she is renowned for a body of work characterised by exceptional originality, intensity and artistic consistency.
With her albums “Lovetune for Vacuum” (2009), “Narrow” (2012), “From Gas to Solid / You Are My Friend” (2018) and, most recently, “TORSO” (2024), she has created a distinctive universe straddling pop, chamber music and the avant-garde, one that defies any clear-cut genre classification. Alongside her musical work, she is also active as an actress and as a composer for film and theatre.
In 2026, Soap&Skin will celebrate her 20th anniversary on stage. To mark the occasion, she is returning to the stage for the first time in 14 years with a series of selected, intimate duo concerts – together with her sister, the visual artist Evelyn Plaschg, who was a visual collaborator and backing vocalist in Soap&Skin’s live performances from the very early years.
